Kamayadan Festival: A colorful celebration of good harvest, culture

Every month of March the Municipality of Norala in South Cotabato celebrates the Kamayadan Festival, a colorful and joyful celebration of the town’s rich agricultural harvests, governance’s feats, and a showcasing of the people’s culture and traditions.

Kamayadan is coined from an Ilonggo term "mayad" which means good.

We are able to witnessed the Kasadyahan sa Kapatagan-themed street dancing competition this year held during the culmination day last March 10 and we were so amazed with all the performances of all the eight contingents which highlighted life at the farms and the people's colorful thanksgiving for good harvest

Norala is dubbed as the "Rice Granary of South Cotabato.
